Symphony no. 10 in G minor (no. 6 chronologically)

~ Symphony

Annotation

There are presently NINE extant symphonies by Cipriani Potter, but some confusion exists as to the numbering of them. This is because Potter himself was known to have used multiple confusing designations.

This particular symphony in G Minor was written in 1832 and is Potter's 6th symphony in chronological order. However, Potter himself referred to it both as No 10 and as No 2. In this case, the designation Symphony no. 10 in G minor is used since that is what was employed in the only extant recording of the work (at the time of writing).
