Both digital releases share unique artwork and a June 1, 2001 release date. The artwork and dates are different from the Chandos digital and physical CD releases.

This recording is a digital remaster of the 1977 live performance of Twilight of the Gods in English in London Coliseum. It was recorded on 6, 13 & 27 August 1977. There is an abridged booklet, documenting an odd combination of physical and digital releases, for download in the artwork section of this release and on the Chandos official website.

Twilight of the Gods is the third part of Richard Wagner’s "The Ring of the Nibelung”. The Ring, translated into English by Andrew Porter, performed by the English National Opera company, conducted by Reginald Goodall, was recorded in its entirety, over several years from 1973 to 1977.
