ENNUI (bandcamp)

Annotation

Wellington’s Opium Eater play progressive music in the truest sense of the word.

Across the 55 minutes of their new album ‘Ennui’, the four-piece draw listeners in with a unique and ever-shifting blend of prog, post-rock, doom, drone and psychedelia.

To utilise such a broad palette is ambitious, but it’s not a challenge that Opium Eater shy away from.

'Ennui' is a sonic journey that fans of Elder, Intronaut, Mastodon and Neurosis are sure to enjoy.
