Me and my wife got engaged at the start of the COVID pandemic and got married during its peak. We had to adjust our wedding plans and chose a justice of the peace ceremony. Our original honeymoon destination, Las Vegas, was shut down, so as soon as it reopened, we flew there and stayed at the Wynn and Palazzo hotels. I always bring my iPad with a 37-key controller, as inspiration can strike at any moment. While walking through the casino, I heard the famous chord played by the slot machines and was immediately inspired. That night, I sat on the sofa with my iPad, Launch Key 37, and Beat Maker 3 app and got to work. I experimented until the first three staccato notes came to life and that’s all she wrote.
