" “Here’s your dessert, just a little bite, all for you! When you wake up tomorrow, remember to smile as bright as the sun shines and spread that joy you’re known for as much as possible. People like you, people love you even, you can’t let them down. Whenever the going gets tough, always know that those who love you will be there no matter how heavy the burden on your shoulders is. You will never be alone because you aren’t alone. It’s natural to be afraid of the familiar feeling that is pain, but remember that without pain, everything would be unfamiliar. No matter how bad it is, today and tomorrow forever and ever will always be the greatest days of your life, since you’re living in the moment, experiencing all of life’s ups and downs whilst carrying yourself towards the finish line. I love you, thank you for being so strong, keep on going. Goodbye for now and enjoy your dessert.”
“I Promise I’m Fine“ is the first part for my trilogy simply titled “The Trilogy”. It's the first album of three to be released in order. I said on my Instagram post announcing this album that this was the final part in the trilogy but I hate to say it now, it’s really the first part considering the subject matter of the other albums in The Trilogy.
This album is also a test to see how well this will be received as this is the first time in 4 years I’m making something with little to no rap at all. The first time I did this was on an EP from 2020 called “KANGA”, which was mostly instrumental samples, chopped and screwed and distorted beyond belief into this grimy, dark, disturbed and almost psychedelic trip. This here however shouldn’t be compared to “KANGA” in the slightest as “KANGA” had no vocals or lyrics while this has. Not only that but “KANGA” was more of an Ambient, Experimental Rock EP while this is more of a Alternative Rock, Experimental Singer-Songwriter, Lo-Fi Indie Folk, Indie Rock and even Art Rock type of project. I hope that makes sense.
Also another note, there’s a lot of singing in here and before I terrify you all, I am well aware of the fact that I can’t sing. I just did it anyway because I wanted to. Enjoy it or not, love it or hate it, this isn’t what I usually make and I won’t try to make everything sound the same either, because that bores me and I am a sucker for versatility, passion and emotion. This entire album was mixed and mastered on an old version of Audacity from 2018 with a lot of different external software as well to make it sound as raw as possible. This album isn’t meant for everyone however, nor is the rest of the trilogy because it was made by me and for me as a way to reminisce my pain, remember the past and forgive myself for hurting myself for as long as I have. The entire trilogy is one long mental journey which cohesively shifts in sound and direction with each part. So even if you do finish this album, don’t expect the next one to sound just like this one, because it won’t and if you do expect it to sound remotely close you will be severely disappointed.
The trilogy has been in the making since mid 2022. Let’s see if the first of the three albums is enough to convince you all to stick along for the ride. Enjoy, or don’t, it’s your call after all. "
