Looking Ahead! (Sheffield Lab pressing)

~ Release by The Cecil Taylor Quartet (see all versions of this release, 10 available)

Annotation

1979 reissue with labels alike those of the 70's Monarch reissue. It can be distinguished by the matrix. This pressing has SLM in the matrix instead of Monarch identification.

It's also not to be confused with the 1973 pressing with "Composers Music ASCAP" text on the labels. And the 1973 pressing also has Monarch identification in the matrix and not SLM.

No stereo header on the front cover with small logo, label name and cat# at the top right corner of the front sleeve.

Yellow labels with text printed in black. "STEREO" boxed, no CR logo, no deep groove. No "All three selections (c) 1959 by Composers Music ASCAP" text printed above the center hole on the labels.

Address centered at bottom of rear sleeve:
"CONTEMPORARY RECORDS, INC. 8481 MELROSE PLACE, LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA 90069" (in use 1963-1979)
"STEREO S7562" printed at the top right corner of the rear sleeve.
No address header, no "Technical Data" strip.

Recorded in New York City at Nola's Penthouse Studios, June 9, 1958.
