Annotation
Released somewhere online as a free collection of mp3s
FIXME - add link to proof of legitimacy "It definitely exists, joel and steve talked about it in that razer video; How they worked on the album within a week"
Steve Duda, one half of BSOD, was contacted by email on 2024-05-16 for more info about the album, but no response was recieved.
Release location
Feasible release locations include:
- BSOD website ( http://www.bsod.ca/ )
- SectionZ ( http://www.sectionz.com )
- Myspace ( FIXME - add link )
BSOD website?
One likely location is the BSOD flash website. deadmau5, one half of BSOD, released music previously on his own flash website (FIXME - add example), so this would not be unusual. There is an archive of the BSOD website as early as 2007-04-03, however the .swf file is not archived, so nothing can be seen. The domain is for sale by 2007-08-23, adding an upper cap on the release date of the album, were it to have been released here.
SectionZ?
The release was added to Discogs in 2012 by editor Sky720, and the edit notes can be seen here. Sky720 claims the album was originally posted on SectionZ, and that they "own original copies of the mp3s released on SectionZ.com, which can be verified by their metadata". This Discogs listing appears to be the primary source for many mentions of the album on the internet.
However SectionZ archivist Login complete., self proclaimed "only SectionZ stan in existence", says "there’s no way" album was ever posted on SZ. They claim the only BSOD track ever posted there was Bitches, which was uploaded to SZ on 4/5/2006 as part of the album a little oblique.
Myspace?
There do not appear to be traces of the release on archives of FIXME - add hyperlink their Myspace page.
Release date
A firm release date is unknown.
One early mention of the album is in this 2009-07-26 post on GTA forums. Though, the post was edited at some point, so the date of mention can't be certain
An even earlier mention is this YouTube video uploaded on 2008-02-11 (an upload of BSOD - roflcopter with the album name written in the description)
As mentioned above: The domain for the BSOD website is for sale by 2007-08-23, adding an upper cap on the release date of the album, were it to have been released there
The Discogs page lists 2006, presumably coming from Sky720's mp3 files.
Artwork
There is believed to be no official artwork. There is a widely circulating fan artwork, featuring a BSOD promo photo. It was made by mau5traxx, judging from the watermark in the top right
