Apex EP
~ Release by Border One (see all versions of this release, 1 available)
Annotation
With his return on VOLTAGE Imprint, Border One serves up a 4 cut classy & club-focused EP, ensuring an eyes-closed though body-moving experience from the get go.
Border One opens up in typical no-nonsense fashion before the elevating melody & refined drum patterns take the upper hand, not holding anything back to start the EP off with a dance floor magnet. Mysteriousness and suspense skyrocket during the second track, Coplanar, giving our imagination room to explore under the guidance of a crystal clear trade-off between drums & hats.
Mystery turns into tension & nervousness, as the B-side opener 'Rhombus' rumbles with hypnotism, then gives us a small breather at the halfway point before moving on to what seems to be a never-ending groove. Punchy kicks lead us into VOLT010's closer - Segment - creating a strong foundation for a deep club track with expert attention to detail.
