2. From studio acetate recorded by The Castiles at Mr. Music Inn, Bricktown, NJ on May 18, 1966.
3. A furious performance from Steel Mill, recorder live in West End, NJ March 1970.
4. Recorded at the Bruce Springsteen Band's only known studio session. "Look Towards the Land" was also cut this day. Probably recorder in late 1971 or early 1972.
5. Recorded at 914 Sound Studios, Blauvelt, NY June/July 1972. This take is the same as the one found on "Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ", until the final 30 seconds, in which Springsteen adds a street rap not unlike the one he would do years later on Lou Reed's "Street Hassle".
6. Recorder for Richmond's AM radio station, this session has never before been heard in this quality. Live at WGOE Studios, Richmond, VA May 31, 1973.
7. Recorded at 914 Sound Studios, Blauvelt, NY July/August 1973. The most famous of the early outtakes, the Fever was short-listed for "Wild & Innocent" and later given to select radio stations.
8. Recorded at 914 Sound Studios, Blauvelt, NY July/August 1973. A striking early version of the song that would later become "Zero and Blind Terry" with different lyrics.
9. Recoded at an unknown date presumably in late 1973, this is the earliest known performance of the song and a unique version.
10. Recorded live at Joe's Place, Boston, MA January 5, 1974.
11. Recorded live at Joe's Place, Boston, MA January 6, 1974. Two early Springsteen classics recorded during a two-night stand in Boston recorded for promotional use.

Disc 2
1. Recorded at The Record Plant, New York, NY March/July 1975. A previously uncirculated alternative take with strings, different to the known take that appears on the CD "War and Roses".
2. Recorded at The Record Plant, New York, NY March/July 1975. A previously uncirculated alternative take with strings, different to the known take that appears on the CD "War and Roses".
3-5. Recorded live at the Palace Theater, Waterbury, CT August 21, 1976. This three-song encore captures the fanciful fury of the then new additions to the E Street Band, the Miami Horns.
6. Recorded at The Record Plant, New York, NY November 1977 to April 1978. A previously uncirculated studio outtake, this strange song features a lot of guitar work from Bruce.
7. Recorded at The Record Plant, New York, NY November 1977 to April 1978. A previously uncirculated studio outtake whose music was also used in another unreleased song called "Don't Say No".
8. Recorded at The Record Plant, New York, NY November 1977 to April 1978. A previously uncirculated take of this famous outtake, possibly an early version, yet more fresh and poignant.

10. Recorded at The Record Plant, New York, NY November 1977 to April 1978. An alternative take of this Spector-ish sounding studio outtake.
11. Recorded live at the Community Theater, Berkeley, CA July 1, 1978. This is the version mixed by Jimmy Iovine for use on a promotional single that was lated cancelled.
12. Recorded at The Power Station, New York, NY April 1979 to August 1980. One of several fine outtakes from "The River", this take features an alternative verse not found on previously bootlegged versions.
13. Recorded live at The Forum, Copenhagen, Denmark May 1, 1981. Bruce joins danish band Malurt for an impromptu performance of the song.

Disc 3
1. Recorded at A&M Studios and One on One Studios, Los Angeles, CA Spring 1990 to Winter 1991. A full-tilt rocker intended for "Human Touch", but cut along with the future B-side "30 Days Out".
2. Recorded live at "Saturday Night Live" on May 9, 1992. Arguably the finest live performance of this song to date, before the band grew to the size of a small town.
3. Recorded live at Warner Hollywood Studios, Hollywood, CA September 22, 1992. A sublime outtake from the taping of "MTV Plugged".
4. Video mix with live vocals. Bruce wore a tiny tie-clip microphone to capture his vocal while filming the video.
5. An alternative mix of the song as used on the film "The Crossing Guard".
6-8. Recorded at the Hit Factory, New York, NY January 1995. Early takes from E Street Band reunion at the Hit Factory in January 1995. "Secret Garden" is take #1.
9. Recorded at the Hit Factory, New York, NY January 1995. The E Street Band version of a song Bruce also cut in the studio with the 1992-93 touring band in 1994.
10. Recorded at the Hit Factory, New York, Ny January 1995. Complete take of the famous outtake seen in the documentary film "Blood Brothers".
11-12. Recorded live at Tramps, New York, NY February 21, 1995. Two songs from the live performance by The E Street Band filmed by director Jonathan Demme for the "Murder Incorporated" video.
13. Recorded live at Nick's Fat City, Pittsburgh, PA October 1995. A superb live version of this Joe Grushecky classic performed by the Houserockers with help from "honorary houserocker" Bruce Springsteen. The fine guitar interplay relives old memories of the 1978 tour.
14-15. Recorded live in Europe during the second leg of the "Solo Acoustic Tour" May 1996. Two songs from uncirculeted soundboard recordings from various locations in Europe.
