Inspired by the symbolic cultural importance of jollof rice—a dish widely regarded across West Africa as a shared heritage meal that transcends borders—Afro Jollof translates this idea into music. Just as jollof rice combines ingredients from different regions to create a distinctive identity, the album blends multiple Afro-influenced musical styles into a unified artistic expression.

The compilation bridges generational musical traditions by featuring legendary pioneers such as Dr. Orlando Owoh and Musiliu Haruna Ishola alongside contemporary African artists including Kelikume, Sobeestar, Sweet Noise, Cymera, Toby Mykel, Koxi, Beevybez, Benzer Republic, Benny Makati, Matoji, Odufa, Stlé, Matador, Smog Pizzle, Bless_RZA, and Marviswhisker.
